Silver Prince - Welcome Aboard a Legacy

Monterey Bay Dive Company owns and operates its own dive charter vessel. The Silver Prince is Monterey Bay’s longest operating Dive Boat , in business since 1979, and was the first boat to carry dive passengers for hire in Monterey. For almost 30 years, she has been taking divers to off-shore dive sites including Eric’s Pinnacle, Aumentos Reef, Hopkins Deep, & The Pinnacles. Built in 1968 by Uniflite in Bellingham Washington, the Silver Prince is 36 feet long with a beam of 12 feet. Powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines, she is perfect for diving in and around Monterey and Carmel and can be anywhere on the peninsula proper within 35 minutes. Although certified by the Coast Guard for up to 20 passengers, for your comfort and enjoyment, we limit daily charters to 14 divers.

The Prince is equipped with radar, LORAN, cell phone, GPS and marine radio as well as all essential Coast Guard certified safety equipment. We provide tanks, snacks, water and hot drinks (coffee, tea, cocoa). If you have little boat diving experience or if it has been a while since you were in cold water, consider hiring one of our experienced guides to lead you on a tour right from the boat.

Boat diving with us allows our experienced crew to transport you to many beautiful and interesting sites that would otherwise be inaccesible from the shore.
